You may have heard a lot of people talking about your “brand.”
If you run your own blog, have your own business or are just trying to promote yourself while interviewing for new jobs…
you have something called a BRAND. Whether you like it or not, it’s there.
So the question is, what is YOUR brand? Are you intentional about it? Do you have a vision? A mission? What do you want to accomplish?
It is SO important, that if we want to truly succeed, to get CLEAR on our brand. The more clear and intentional you are about it, the more it will SHINE and the more people you will attract.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this lately, as I have been expanding my business to this blog and striving to make a larger impact. It can be overwhelming figuring this out. To go from stay-at-home mom to full business owner is a funny transition, but the more intentional I am with my actions, the more success I see.
I knew it wasn’t something that was going to happen overnight. In fact, it overwhelmed me to think about creating it all at once. I felt like it was something that would evolve as I dove more into the process, but I knew I just needed to START.
So here’s Step ONE.
- What is your vision?
- What do you stand for?
- What do you want other people to KNOW you for?
Answer those three questions. Be very clear and concise.
Here are my answers:
- I believe that everyone should make the most out of life. We only have one life to live. We shouldn’t waste it being miserable, in an unwanted situation or a job that we hate. We should seize the moments that make us happy. Go after our dreams. Do something that makes us EXCITED to wake up for in the morning. We should go after the things we want without fear of failure.
- I believe that women should empower each other. Long gone are the mean girl days of gossip and cattiness. It’s time for women to STEP UP. To support each other. To clap for one another. To cry with one another. To laugh with one another. And to empower one another.
- When I’m not around, I want people to talk about me as an inspiring, motivational person. I don’t want them to only know me as a mom, or a wife, or as the wine girl. I want to be known as someone who was always supportive, positive, and empowering.
What about you? What do you believe and stand for?
